Quiberon Ferry Terminal

GO TO THE QUIBERON PENINSULA, PARK AND HEAD TO THE FERRY TERMINAL

The Quiberon ferry terminal is open all year, from Monday to Sunday, from 30 minutes prior to the first departure until the last departure of the day. To make passenger and vehicle flow smoother, please stick to your boarding times and use the car parks and shuttles made available. If you are running late, please contact us prior to the boat’s departure so we can change your ticket and put you on the next ferry out.

The terminal is located: Port Maria, 56170 Quiberon

Access and parking right near the pier may be difficult. We recommend arriving in Quiberon 1 hour prior to departure, and to anticipate any potential access or parking difficulties during the high season. Boarding starts 45 minutes before the boat’s announced departure for vehicles, and 20 minutes before for foot passengers.

ACCESS AND PARKING AT THE FERRY TERMINAL

Upon arriving in Quiberon, head to the ferry terminal following the road signs “Belle-Île-en-Mer pier” / “Port Maria”. Keep in mind that a market is held in Quiberon on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Furthermore, during busy periods (weekends, school holidays, summer), traffic is often heavy on the peninsula. We recommend arriving earlier and leaving later.

A drop-off area is available near the ferry terminal. During busy periods, we recommend that passengers take the shuttle (bus or local ‘Tire-Bouchon’ train) or coach line to ensure easy access to the ferry terminal.

The pier car park, right behind the terminal, is exclusively reserved to vehicle drivers scheduled to board the next ferry out (45 minutes prior to departure). If you arrive early and intend on boarding with your vehicle, you cannot park in this car park while you wait for your departure. However, feel free to contact our central reservation office by phone (cost of a local call) to organise your early arrival.

The nearest train station is Auray, where main national lines arrive (3h45 by high-speed train to Paris). A coach service is then possible to the terminal in Quiberon (information and reservations on the Voyages SNCF website).

In July and August, buses only go to Plouharnel – just at the entrance to the peninsula. The trip from Plouharnel to Quiberon can be made using the “Tire-Bouchon” shuttle. This rail shuttle links Auray to Quiberon, thus avoiding traffic jams and giving you a splendid view of the bay. Over half a million passengers use it every year.

Quiberon is also called at by a regular BreizhGo coach line: line No.1 Auray-Carnac-Quiberon.

The Ferry Terminal – Port Maria bus stop is just outside Quiberon’s ferry terminal. Download the timetable for the regular coach line here: Schedule for Line 1.

PARKING IN LOW SEASON:
From mid-November to March, you may leave your vehicle on one of the town’s free car parks. However, parking is only authorised for a limited amount of time.

PARKING IN PEAK SEASON:

In peak season, from April to autumn half-term, we recommend the following:

  • The Parking des Îles (1,100 spaces), located to your right when entering Quiberon, avenue du Général de Gaulle:

From April to mid-November, this car park is paying and guarded 24/7. A free shuttle is available upon presenting your car park ticket. It will drop you off at the Port Maria ferry terminal and take you back at the end of your day or stay. Departures every 10 to 20 minutes. Users pay once they pick their vehicle up. From the end of November to March, the car park is free and unlimited, but is not guarded and there is no shuttle to the ferry terminal. You can then reach the terminal thanks to the BreizhGo Line 1 coach. Information on times and rates by calling +33 (0)2 97 30 59 45.

  • Parking de Kerné (300 spaces), route de Kerniscob:
Open from mid-March to mid-November. Reservation recommended. Free shuttles to the pier. Information on times and rates by calling +33 (0)6 86 62 69 18, or visiting the www.parkingdekerne.com website
