Belle-Ile, too beautiful or too appropriately named, the largest of the Ponant islands has always been the most serenaded. Sometimes a land of exile or of devastation, sometimes a royal lock up or a prison, this large vessel moored off Quiberon doesn't seem to hold any grudges against History. Today it is a land of welcome, although it still remains a fragile place where fauna, flora and the elements all live together under man's responsible care. To make your stay in Belle-Ile-en-Mer really eye-opening, we invite you to choose your means of locomotion and accommodation. There are plenty of leisure and sporting activities on offer throughout the whole of the island (see information under the "Useful addresses" heading). The island measures 20 km by 9 km and its highest point culminates at 73 metres. It is organized around four local districts, Le Palais being the first one to greet you when your boat arrives.
